SWOSU hosted the recent state leadership conference for Phi Beta Lambda. Among the SWOSU students and faculty who helped stage the event were (from left): Dr. Patsy Parker, Dalton Holdge, Kelsey Boone, Kelsey Zybach, Heather Leach, Morgan Gould and Dr. Tami Moser.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University's chapter of Phi Beta Lambda recently hosted the FLBA-PBL 2009 State Fall Leadership Conference on the Weatherford campus.

The theme for the conference was "FBLA-PBL: Simply the Best" and was kicked off by keynote speaker Rhett Laubach, who is a professional speaker, author, and leadership expert who has been conducting keynotes and workshops for 17 years.

Following Laubach's captivating speech, members attended various breakout sessions where they learned a range of career essentials including public speaking, getting and keeping the dream job, and networking essentials.

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. is a national business student organization that prepares students for careers in business and business education. Membership is over 260,000 with 11,000 chapters across the United States and abroad. Phi Beta Lambda is the collegiate division.
