Three Events in One to be Featured at Miss SWOSU Pageant


Three events in one will be featured at the annual Miss SWOSU Pageant coming up Saturday, November 14, on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in  Weatherford. 

The pageant, which is a preliminary pageant for the Miss Oklahoma/Miss America pageants, will feature seven SWOSU contestants. In addition, the 2nd annual Miss SWOSU Outstanding Teen Pageant will be staged featuring seven contestants, and a new Miss SWOSU Little Star program will be held featuring 14 candidates.

The Little Star mentoring program is for girls ages 6-11, and two girls will be named Miss SWOSU Oklahoma Stars. They will have the opportunity to advance to the Miss Oklahoma Pageant as representatives from the Miss SWOSU Pageant. 

The pageant begins at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center.                                    

Advance tickets are $7 for non-SWOSU students and $5 for SWOSU students.  All tickets at the door are $10. Advance tickets are available in Room 205 of the SWOSU Administration Building and from all contestants.

Contestants in the Miss SWOSU Pageant are: Kelsey Haught, Altus; Sarah Simpson, Elk City; Jackie Johnson, Moore; Tori Nichols, Oklahoma City; Megan Miller, Piedmont; Tanya Harrelson, Wichita Falls TX; and Alyssa Troy, Woodward.

Contestants in the Miss SWOSU Outstanding Teen Pageant are: ; Madison Bird, Alva; Lacey Russ, Cordell; Danielle Lewis, Lawton (Eisenhower); Addison Howell, Oklahoma City (Carl Albert); Allie Ayers, Snyder; Molly Kitchen, Tulsa (Metro Christian Academy); and Payton Berrong, Weatherford.

Contestants in the Little Star Pageant are:  Taylor Suzanne Moss, Butler; Kennedy McKeaigg, Clinton; Chelsea MacKenzie Holden, Hydro; Maggie Hooper, Mt. View; Holly Ronan, Thomas; Andrae Cook, Anna Maria Galaviz, Lindee Shea Hendriex, Dani Ingram, Grace Elizabeth Ann Nelson, Whitney Roper, Whitney Sullivan, Jahven Rachelle Tanner, all of Weatherford; and Gracelynn Word, Amarillo TX.
