One of the Largest Ever Blood Drives Held at SWOSU

One of the largest ever blood drives at Southwestern Oklahoma State University was held February 1-2 on the Weatherford campus.

Rick Story, blood program consultant with the Oklahoma Blood Institute, said 321 people signed up to give blood, and the OBI drew blood from 235.

"The weather wasn't the greatest but the people responded," Story said. "We at the OBI are so appreciative."

The SWOSU blood drive was sponsored by the SWOSU Greek Council and held in honor of the late Dr. Roger Bromert, a social sciences professor who recently passed away. The drive was headed by SWOSU students Melissa Terrell and Kayla DeWitt.

The next drive at SWOSU will be held in April.
