Panorama Committee Seeking Suggestions from SWOSU Students

SWOSU is seeking suggestions to finalize the 2010-2011 Panorama Series.

"We really want as much input from the students as possible," said student Panorama Committee member Bradley Jennings. "We want our choices to be a reflection of the students' wishes."

Since 1992, the Panorama Series has brought big names to SWOSU year after year. Those big names include comedians Jeff Dunham (twice), Bill Engvall, and Carrot Top; bands Switchfoot and Diamond Rio; and numerous other great performances such as the Peking Acrobats and Jeff Corwin.

This year, Max Brooks, Demetri Martin, and Frank Warren headlined another exceptional year for Panorama.  One event remains. The Dallas Black Dance Theatre will perform on February 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the SWOSU campus. The event will be free.

The Panorama Committee takes students' ideas and narrows them to approximately 5 options per subcommittee. The subcommittees include Issues, Cultural, and Entertainment. They ensure that SWOSU has a wide variety of programs.

The students then vote on the ultimate decisions. Similar to last year, students will be polled in the Memorial Student Union and on Canvas later this semester.

"The Panorama program has been extremely successful," said Panorama Committee Chair Brian Adler. "The more the students support the programs, the bigger names we can bring in."
