SWOSU Music Department to Present Jazz Concert


Two Southwestern Oklahoma State University jazz ensembles will perform Sunday, November 14, at 3 p.m. on the Weatherford campus.

Admission is free to the concert that will be held in the Fine Arts Center.

SWOSU's Jazz Ensemble "A", directed by Dr. Keith M. Talley, and Jazz Ensemble "B", directed by Nathan Rapson and Hector Lopez, will feature big band charts made famous by the Stan Kenton Jazz Band, the Tonight Show Band with Doc Severinsen, Count Bassie Band,  Maria Schneider Big Band,  Charles Mingus Big Band and many more.

SWOSU students featured in the performance from Jazz Ensemble "A" will be: Adriel Reynolds, Keaton Ketchum, Josh Dodson, Clint Kubala, Misty Schumann, Aaron Daniels, Brandon Brown, Kristina Jensen, Tyler Gorshing, Nathan Rapson, Myles Madden, Kenny Lehman, T.J. Cortez, Erin Hanson, Bobby Wolfe, Hector Lopez, Nathan Troester and Tyler Paul. Members of Jazz Ensemble "B" include: Rachel Matthews, Kelsey Knight, Charleen Wade, Ashley Van Cleave, Dillon Jung, Tony Bertolozzi, Sable Nellis, Sandy Pratt, Herbert Herrera, Abraham Gonzalez, Chance Alquest, Sean Ivins and Kyle Bird-Fitzgerald.
