Music from Italy, India and Bali to be Featured at SWOSU Singers Concert

Influenced from the best-selling book by Elizabeth Gilbert, the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Singers will perform their fall concert entitled "Eat, Pray Love:  Music inspired from the cultures of Italy, India and Bali" on Monday, November 29, in Weatherford.

The 7 p.m. concert will be held in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church in Weatherford. The public is invited, and admission is free.

Italian madrigals, an Indian raga, and Joyce Adams Curtis singing Bali Hai from South Pacific are just a few of the musical selections to be performed.  Pieces by Vivaldi, Palestrina and William Bolcom will also be featured at the concert.  Senior vocal music education major Emma Grosz from Enid will conduct Kyrie by Hassler.

The SWOSU Singers are under the direction of Dr. Bonnie Sneed.
