Two Open Debates Remain for SWOSU Students

Two open debates remain for Southwestern Oklahoma State University students on the Weatherford campus.

Co-ed Residence Halls is the focus of the Thursday, March 3, open debate, while Concealed Carry of Firearms on Campus is the center of the open debate on Thursday, March 10.  Both events begin at 6 p.m. in Room 104 of the Stafford Center.

The SWOSU Student Government Association is sponsoring the open debates. Debates were heard earlier on Alcohol on Campus and Break for Finals.

"All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend and to offer their input because these are serious and important topics that need to be openly discussed," said Tyler Rickey, public relations secretary for the SGA. "Individual input can truly affect the policies to come or whether or not these policies are even written."
