Congressman Lucas' Oklahoma Ag Liaison to Speak at SWOSU Law Day this Thursday

Garrett King, who serves as U.S. Congressman Frank Lucas’ Oklahoma agriculture liaison, will be guest speaker at Law Day 2011 activities at Southwestern Oklahoma State University this Thursday, April 21, on the Weatherford campus.

The public is invited to the 7 p.m. talk in the East Ballroom of the Memorial Student Center on the SWOSU campus. Admission is free.

King will conduct a seminar on “How Congressman Conduct the Government’s Business.”

King, a native of Binger, is a 2008 political science/history graduate of SWOSU. He held a variety of student leadership positions on the campus during his undergraduate years culminating in his election as the 61st student body president of SWOSU.  As a student at SWOSU, King also met and married the former Carissa Marquis, a fellow alumnus.

King is in the fifth year of his appointment to the personal staff of U. S. Congressman Frank D. Lucas. Outside of his professional endeavors, King sits on the boards of the SWOSU Alumni Association and HOBY Oklahoma and serves as president of the 1787 Society of Oklahoma and vice-chairman of the Oklahoma Federation of Young Republicans.

Upon Mrs. King's graduation from the University of Oklahoma School Of Law this May, the Kings will make their home in Weatherford.
