SWOSU Students Plan Turkey Shoot for Good Cause

Thanksgiving and turkey time is not far off, and the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Collegiate Activities Board is planning its own turkey shoot this Saturday, November 5, in conjunction with the SWOSU home football game in Weatherford.

Starting at 12 noon in the parking lot west of Milam Stadium in the tailgate area, participants will have the chance to win the grand prize of a $100 gift certificate to the University Bookstore. And, more importantly, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Weatherford Ministerial Alliance.

In a rotation of four people, participants will use a paintball gun to shoot at a large turkey target. For $5, contestants will get three shots at the target. The winner of each round will qualify for the chance to win the grand prize and a t-shirt.

There are also long sleeve turkey shoot t-shirts on sale for $10 in the Dean of Students office (Stafford Center 211).
