Audition Dates Set for SWOSU Bulldog Blitz Talent Show

Auditions for Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Bulldog Blitz talent show is coming up on January 17-18 on the Weatherford campus.

Students on the Weatherford and Sayre campuses will have the opportunity to compete for big cash prizes at the Bulldog Blitz talent show scheduled for February 16.

SWOSU students will compete for first place prize money in both individual and group competitions. The individual winner will receive $500 and the group winner (two or more people) will receive $1,000. In order to be eligible to enter the individual category, the contestant must have a valid SWOSU student I.D. However, in the group category, only one member of the group is required to have a valid SWOSU student I.D.

Audition tryouts are scheduled for January 17-18 at the SWOSU Memorial Student Center Ballroom on the Weatherford campus. Individuals and groups can sign up for an audition slot in the Dean of Students Office, Room 214 of the Stafford Center.

The SWOSU Collegiate Activities Board is sponsoring the 10th Bulldog Blitz. CAB Director Cody Sims said this year’s show will be dedicated to former Fine Arts Center Director Kevin Bartel who passed away earlier this year. The students decided to honor Bartel for being so helpful with previous talent shows and being so generous with his time and talent.

The SWOSU Bulldog Blitz will be held on February 16 at 6 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center. Everyone is invited and admission is free. “Last year we had an absolutely fantastic show but we are ready to go even bigger this year,” Sims said. “I know our campus is full of talent and we really want to see SWOSU “Unleash Your Talent!”
