SWOSU Wins Mind Games Opener


Southwestern Oklahoma State University won its opening match of the Mind Games competition on KSBI-TV in Oklahoma City and advanced to the quarterfinals round.

SWOSU defeated Connors State College, 450-30, and will play Cameron University on April 25 at 8 p.m. on KSBI-TV.

SWOSU is competing against other Oklahoma colleges and universities in this second season of Mind Games, which is a buzzer-quiz game comparable to Quiz Bowl or Jeopardy. The game is based on knowledge in all academic fields, and students compete for scholarship money.

The team is coached by Dr. Kevin Collins and team members are: Zeke Mills, Springfield MO; Gaston Hart, Edmond (Santa Fe); Tanner Fisher, Calumet; Erika Christner, Drummond; and Jim Ferguson, Elk City.
