SWOSU-Sayre Offers College Classes in Elk City

SWOSU-Sayre is offering three night classes at Elk City High School during the upcoming 2012 fall semester.

English Composition I will meet Monday nights, World Cultural Geography is offered Tuesday nights, and Math Concepts will meet Thursday nights.  All three classes begin at 6 p.m.  and will be taught by SWOSU-Sayre faculty. The classes meet from mid-August through mid-December.

“We’re making college more convenient for working adults and other students,” said SWOSU-Sayre instructor Landry Brewer.  “Many students live and work in Elk City or nearby towns, so we’re bringing the classes to them.”

Adults and eligible high school students will benefit.

“High school juniors and seniors with qualifying ACT scores may also take these classes,” Brewer said.  “This is a great way to get a jump on college and a career.”

And, high school seniors do not have to pay tuition if they meet certain ACT score requirements. For information about SWOSU-Sayre classes in Elk City or Sayre, contact the Registrar’s Office at 580.928.5533.

SWOSU classes begin August 22.
