CAB Seeks New Student Members at SWOSU

The Collegiate Activities Board (CAB) at Southwestern Oklahoma State University is recruiting new members on the Weatherford campus.

CAB is a volunteer group of over 100 students that puts on around 40 free events throughout the year. Some of the major events are the Veteran’s Day Celebration, Martin Luther King, Jr. Week and the Tough Enough to Wear Pink 5K Run/Walk. CAB is also responsible for many “fun-only” events like bunji-jumps, Velcro-suit trampolines and inflatable games.

Zac Gulick, director of the CAB, invites all students to try CAB and see if the organization matches their individual skill set. The first CAB meeting is August 28 at 5 pm in the Gen. Thomas P. Stafford Center, Room 235. Interested students may join then or at the Organizational Fair on August 30. Students can also complete a form in the Dean of Students office, Room 214 of the Stafford Center.

The annual planning retreat is an overnight lock-in with Dean of Students Cindy Dougherty. The retreat will be held at the SWOSU Conference Center on Friday, September 7. The event begins at 5 p.m. with a home-cooked meal prepared by Dean Dougherty.
