Big Bang Theory TV Star Coming September 20 to SWOSU

Kunal Nayyar

Kunal Nayyar, known as “Raj Koothrappali” on The Big Bang Theory TV show, will speak at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford on Thursday, September 20, to kick off the university’s Panorama series.

Nayyar will give a lecture titled “From New Delhi to Hollywood—Navigating Life Through Humility.” The lecture, which has great humor to it, addresses his life story about going from London to New Delhi to Portland (OR) to Hollywood.

“Kunal emphasizes accepting life’s challenges and being on a continuous path to better yourself, following your passions in life and making sure your life is approached with a great deal of humor and humility and never forgetting where you come from on your way to where you are going,” said Brian Adler, chair of the Panorama Committee. “It should be an enjoyable program for everyone.”

Advance ticket prices are $5 for SWOSU students, faculty/staff and emeriti; $10 for others; and $20 for all tickets at the door. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the SWOSU campus.
