CAB Hosts Successful Blood Drive at SWOSU

Oklahoma Blood Institute officials say the recent September blood drive on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus ranks as one of the top five blood drives on the Weatherford campus since 2004.

Richard Story of the OBI said 195 successful donations were banked at the drive, which was hosted by the Collegiate Activities Board (CAB). These donations could potentially impact over 585 patients in OBI’s hospital network.

CAB Director Zac Gulick said the organization was excited by the student participation and very happy with the results. CAB is a volunteer group of over 100 students that puts on around 40 events throughout the school year. For more information on CAB or the blood drive, contact Gulick at 580.774.3767.
