SWOSU-Sayre Adds Two Online Courses for Spring Semester

Southwestern Oklahoma State University-Sayre recently expanded its 2013 spring schedule with two additional online courses.

World Cultural Geography and a second English Composition II course will be offered in the online format.

"We're trying to meet the needs of our busy students, many of whom must juggle school with work and family responsibilities," said SWOSU-Sayre Dean Sherron Manning.

SWOSU-Sayre looks to increase its online course offerings in future semesters so that students can eventually earn an associate's degree completely online. Manning cautions students not to expect online courses to be easy.

"SWOSU is known for offering a quality education and the university continues to boast 15 nationally-accredited academic programs—the most among Oklahoma’s regional universities,” Manning said.

She encourages serious, motivated students to consider SWOSU-Sayre's online courses as a way of earning a college degree, which is increasingly important for professional advancement and earning potential.  According to surveys, the average college graduate with a Bachelor's Degree will earn $1 million more over a working lifetime than someone with only a high school diploma.

Enrollment is underway for the spring semester.  Anyone interested in online or traditional, on-campus courses should call the SWOSU-Sayre Registrar's Office at 580.928.5533.  Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
