Reception to Honor Retiring SWOSU Sayre Registrar Kim Seymour

A quarter century of service by Kim Seymour to Southwestern Oklahoma State University-Sayre will be commemorated this Friday January 18, with a retirement reception on the Sayre campus.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the reception from 3-4 p.m. in the McMahon Library.

Seymour moved to Beckham County in 1985 because of her husband’s work. In 1988, she took a position in the registrar’s office and then took over as registrar in 1997 when Pat Tignor retired from the university.

In her time as registrar, Seymour has orchestrated countless graduation ceremonies, high school career days, and helped advise hundreds of students looking to improve their lives.

Seymour said she plans to travel, spend lots of time with her husband and grandchildren, and continue her life-time hobby of quilt-making.
