SWOSU Students Invited to Audition for Musical Theatre Production

The Department of Communication and Theatre at SWOSU will hold auditions January 23-24 for the musical theatre production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Auditions are open to all SWOSU students  regardless of major.  Singing auditions are Wednesday, January 23.  Those choosing to audition will need to sign up for an individual audition time in Campbell Building 126-F—where audition materials can also be picked up. On Thursday, January 24, all students who have been through the singing auditions will be asked to participate in a cold-reading audition starting at 6:30 p.m.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a hilarious tale of overachievers' angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's Tony Award winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time. The show will be featured March 28-30 on the SWOSU campus.
