SWOSU Students Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King

To celebrate the life and times of Dr. Martin Luther King, the Collegiate Activities Board and the Black Student Association at Southwestern Oklahoma State University have joined forces to celebrate from January 16-23 with various service projects in both Weatherford and Clinton. The students are wearing celebration t-shirts with Dr. King on the front and on the back one of his best quotes, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: what are you doing for others?”  SWOSU Dean of Students Cindy Dougherty said it is with this quote the students are basing their week “on” and not just a day “off” with service to others to honor him. The university will be closed Monday, January 21, to honor his works.
