Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s IMPACT series continues this Wednesday, October 2, with SWOSU Has heART.

This informal event is centered on exposing SWOSU students to the diverse art programs on campus. From theatre to music, this event has something to offer for everyone.

Students are invited to enjoy a sampling of the various mediums of art at SWOSU from 12-1:30 p.m. near the Clock Tower. Students from the music department will perform throughout the event and communication art students will present visual and theatre arts. Cookies will be provided, and students are encouraged to grab lunch and meet on the lawn. If there is inclement weather, the event will be held in the Bulldog Beanery.

Coming up next in the IMPACT series will be a self-defense workshop on October 9. This interactive class will educate students on basic self-defense techniques, designed especially to bring awareness to females. It will be taught by the Oklahoma Army National Guard in Stafford Center Room 104 from 12-1 p.m.

Faculty and staff are welcome at both events.
