SWOSU Homecoming King and Queen Finalists Ready for Saturday

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s homecoming is this Saturday, October 26, and it will be a busy time for the six homecoming queen and king candidate finalists.

Queen candidates include: Selam Dejene, Stillwater; Lyndsey Kean, Yukon; and Sabrina Rivera, Guymon.

King candidates are: Jim Bui, Broken Arrow;  Jalen Dorsey, Frisco (TX); and Trent Misak, Medford.  

The candidates were selected as finalists by an online student vote.

Dejene is a pharmacy student and was nominated by Residence Life; Kean is an elementary education major nominated by Sigma Sigma Chi sorority; and Rivera was nominated by New Student Orientation and studies early childhood education.

Bui studies athletic training and was nominated by Residence Life; Dorsey, nominated by the Black Student Association, is a mass communications major; and Misak, also a mass communications major, was nominated by the University Media Association.

The candidates interviewed with a panel of students, faculty and administrators as the final determination for homecoming queen and king. The winners will be announced at halftime of the football game that kicks off at 6 p.m. at Milam Stadium on the SWOSU campus.
