Youngsters Invited to SWOSU Bullpup Camps this Saturday


Younger visitors to Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s annual Homecoming this Saturday (October 26) will once again be able to enjoy the “Bullpup Camps” on the Weatherford campus.

Various departments/athletic teams on campus will offer a variety of free programs for children ages 8-12 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.

Participants should meet at the SWOSU Clock Tower at 9:45 a.m. for registration, and they will choose to attend activities including:

  • Cheerleading and Pom
  • Digital Art
  • Chemistry (CSI: SWOSU)
  • Theatre (painting drama masks and acting)
  • Softball
  • Basketball
  • Rodeo
  • Mathematics (puzzles and games)
  • Nursing (simulation lab)
  • Allied Health (fun with doctors, dental hygienists and ultrasound technicians)

Jennifer Dickey of the  institutional advancement office  at SWOSU said the activity was very successful last year. Parents should arrive back at 12 noon to pick up their “bullpups” at the Clock Tower.
