Scourge of Zombies to Hit SWOSU this Tuesday and Thursday

WARNING: Zombies are set to hit SWOSU’s Weatherford campus at free events—including a Zombie Prom—presented by Residence Life this Tuesday, October 29, and Thursday, October 31.

Both events will be held in the Fine Arts Center.

On Tuesday, ResLife will screen the zombie movie World War Z for all SWOSU students. The movie will begin at 9:30 p.m. following the SWOSU volleyball game. The movie will prepare students for the next invasion of zombies on Thursday.

The Zombie Prom will take place on Thursday from 8 – 10 p.m. on the Fine Arts Center stage. All SWOSU students are invited, and the event is free. Intensity, a band from Dallas, will perform dance music live, and a DJ will also play hits. The venue will be fully themed from the front door to the stage.

Zombie Prom-goers are encouraged to dress in costume. The best male and female zombies will be named Zombie King and Queen, and there will also be another contest for all those dressed in other costumes. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and best couples costume.

Director of Residence Life Chad Martin said he expects a good crowd and hopes students will join the zombie fun.  For more information, contact Martin at 580.774.3024.
