SWOSU Students to Get Early Screening of the Hunger Games

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set to release to the public in early March, but students at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford (with odds being ever in their favor) will have a chance to screen the film early thanks to Residence Life.

ResLife will hold a Hunger Games Marathon on Thursday, February 27, in the Fine Arts Center. The event is free and all students are invited to attend.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a showing of the first film, The Hunger Games. Directly following, the pre-release screening of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will start at 9 p.m. Based on the popular trilogy of young adult novels and starring Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence, the films have attracted fans from around the world.

In association with a multi-organizational canned food drive, a donation box will be set in the lobby for anyone wanting to donate canned food items to the Weatherford Food Pantry.
