Mind Games Info Meeting Set for Tuesday

Two-time grand champion Southwestern Oklahoma State University will again participate in the Mind Games competition on KSBI-TV this year, and an informational meeting will be held Tuesday, August 26, for students interested in the Mind Games competition.

The meeting is at 5 p.m. in Room 100 of the Old Science Building on the Weatherford campus.

SWOSU students have won thousands of dollars of scholarships the past few years of the academic competition, which is a buzzer-quiz game comparable to Quiz Bowl or Jeopardy.

SWOSU is looking for interested students to compete on the team. Questions for the competition come from all academic fields. Interested students need to be full-time undergraduates. Pharmacy students who do not hold a Bachelor’s degree are also eligible.

Coach Dr. Fred Gates said at this meeting students will also take a qualifying exam so students should bring a pencil or pen. For more information, contact Gates at fred.gates@swosu.edu or 580.774.3278.
