Dance Off and Bonfire Conclude Battle of the Bulldogs at SWOSU

Southwestern Oklahoma State University student organizations are wrapping up a successful Battle of the Bulldogs, a first-ever competition between different clubs, organizations and individual student groups during Homecoming week on the Weatherford campus.

The final two events are Duke’s Dance Off on Thursday, featuring seven organizations, at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center. Admission is free, and everyone is invited to cheer on their favorite organization. Performing will be: Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Government Association, Sigma Sigma Chi, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Phi Delta Theta, Phi Delta Chi and Wesley Foundation.

Right after Duke’s Dance Off, there will be an 8 p.m. concert on the Pioneer Cellular Event Center patio featuring up-and-coming country music artist Clare Dunn followed by DJ Lite Brite’s After Party that will be held inside the event center.

A bonfire will be held on Friday night at 9 p.m. on the lawn of Jefferson and Rogers Halls. In case of rain, a pep rally will be held at the Wellness Center.

Makenzy Hamon, special project coordinator of the SGA, said Tuesday’s Movie under the Stars event resulted in over 2,000 cans of food that will be donated to area food pantries. The purpose of Battle of the Bulldogs is to raise donations for charities.
