Miss Oklahoma to Emcee Miss SWOSU Pageant this Saturday

Miss Oklahoma Alex Eppler

Miss Oklahoma Alex Eppler will serve as emcee and entertain at the Miss SWOSU Scholarship Pageant this Saturday, October 25, on the Weatherford campus.

Eppler won the title of Miss Oklahoma this past summer and then finished in the Top 10 at the Miss America Pageant.

The Miss SWOSU Pageant starts at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the SWOSU campus. Advance tickets are $10 and $5 for individuals with an SWOSU I.D.  All tickets at the door are $15. Advance tickets are available in Room 205 of the SWOSU Administration Building and from all contestants.

Random Acts of Kindness is Eppler’s heart and mission as Miss Oklahoma. She has spread the impact that kindness can have on people. She has spoken all around Oklahoma on her platform.

As if everything else Eppler does is not enough, she also hopes to use her kindness platform to create a mentoring program within the Miss Oklahoma organization that pairs potential contestants with former contestants or title holders to share their knowledge and advice with young woman who would otherwise  never thought they could become Miss Oklahoma.

She is the daughter of Mike and Liz Eppler and proud sister to Jordan and Austin. She has a degree in medical science and minor in health and exercise science. She was involved with many groups on the OU campus and was awarded Outstanding Senior in 2012 and graduated with honors from the Arts and Sciences College.

After graduating, Eppler became a teacher at The Academy in Oklahoma City. She also taught a weekly hip-hop class at The Boys and Girls Club of Oklahoma City. She was more than qualified to teach dance, and dance was her talent of choice in The Miss America Pageant.
