SWOSU Mind Games Team Wins Opener, 700-270

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s “Blue” Mind Games team opened the 2014-15 season with a 700-270 win over East Central University in action aired October 26 on KSBI-TV.

SWOSU, two-time defending grand champion of the academic competition involving all universities and colleges in Oklahoma, has two teams in this year’s competition. The “White” team opens play this Sunday, November 2, at 5:30 p.m.  against Southeastern Oklahoma State University.  

Members of the SWOSU Blue team are: Ashley DeVaughan, Fort Cobb; Mandi Foutch, Seiling; Jordan Sage, Binger; and Montgomery Long, Marlow.

Members of the SWOSU White team are: Zeke Mills, Springfield (MO); John Foley, Tuttle; and Maddie Moss, Holdenville.

Both squads are coached by Dr. Fred Gates, professor of history at SWOSU. The students compete for scholarship money provided by The Chickasaw Nation and Oklahoma Energy Resources Board.
