SWOSU Students Plan Art Shows

Southwestern Oklahoma State University students are having a Mixed Media Art Show through November 15 on the Weatherford campus.

The show is located in the gallery of the Art Building. Admission is free, and the public is invited to view the show 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

Students are exhibiting two-dimensional art work, which is based on visual metaphors and integration of text and art.

Robin Jones, chair of the Department of Art, Communication and Theatre, said students are planning a three-dimensional art show on December 4-18. The three-dimensional art works are assemblage pieces and sculptures constructed using various media and found materials with an emphasis placed on consumerism and ecological issues.
