Dairy MAX's Susan Allen to Speak at AAUW Luncheon

Susan Allen—who travels Oklahoma for Dairy MAX working with health professionals to collaborate on programs to help people make wise health choices—will be the featured speaker at the annual spring luncheon of the American Association of University Women chapter at Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Friday, March 6, on the Weatherford campus.

The luncheon, which is open to the public, will be held at 12 noon in the Memorial Student Center East Ballroom. Tickets are $15 and available from any AAUW member, Administration Building Room 205 or by calling 580.774.3063.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be used for scholarships, Tech Trek summer camp and various other AAUW projects.

“Filling Hearts with Hope—The Great American Milk Drive” will be the topic of Allen’s talk at the luncheon.

Allen is a family and consumer sciences educator.  She is responsible for dairy producer and stakeholder communications in her territory.  Additionally, Allen manages the Issues and Crisis team for Dairy MAX, covering Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico, and serves as the main media spokesperson for issues and crisis for the region. She serves as the lead coordinator for media and communication trainings within the region.

Before going to work for Dairy MAX, Allen previously worked at the Oklahoma Beef Council and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service as a 4-H youth development extension educator.  She holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from SWOSU.

The luncheon menu will include baked potato bar, salad, soup and dessert. Vegetarian items will be available.
