Freddie Reid Brinkman and his wife, Kitty, of Liberty (MO) recently established the Freddie Reid Brinkman Pharmacy Scholarship Fund with the Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy Foundation in Weatherford. Brinkman is a 1965 graduate of SWOSU.

A new scholarship fund has been established with the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Pharmacy Foundation on the Weatherford campus.

SWOSU pharmacy graduate Freddie Reid Brinkman (Class of 1965) of Liberty (MO) has established the Freddie Reid Brinkman Pharmacy Scholarship Fund, which will provide a $1,000 annual scholarship to a deserving SWOSU pharmacy student.

“I want to establish the scholarship because of the quality of education I received at the SWOSU College of Pharmacy, and I just want to pass it on,” Brinkman said.

Brinkman is now retired. While at SWOSU, he was very active in Phi Delta Chi fraternity and was on the Bulldog baseball team. He also enjoyed intramural basketball.

He and his wife, Kitty, live in Liberty (MO).

"The scholarship shows a strong sense of pharmacy pride for SWOSU,” said Patti Harper, alumni development officer for the SWOSU College of Pharmacy.
