Inspired Leadership Challenge Takes Place Saturday at SWOSU

Southwestern Oklahoma State University will be the site of the 2015 Inspired Leadership Challenge this Saturday, March 7, on the Weatherford campus.

The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum is hosting 45 high school sophomores, juniors and seniors at the leadership event. Students are coming from 37 different high schools from around the state of Oklahoma. Selection for the challenge was competitive.

Warren Martin, executive director of the institute and museum, said the Inspired Leadership Challenge is a great opportunity for students to build leadership skills, participate in team-building and spontaneous problem-solving exercises, compete for scholarships and a chance to attend the national 2015 Four Star Leadership with the General Tommy Franks program.

This is the first year for SWOSU to host the event. Students will be on the campus the entire day. SWOSU Randy Beutler is scheduled to address the students, and members of the SWOSU President’s Leadership Class will assist with various activities throughout the day.
