SWOSU Singers Fare Well at NATS Competition

SWOSU NATS Competition
Three Southwestern Oklahoma State University students advanced to the finals of the Oklahoma National Association of the Teachers of Singing (NATS) regional competition and Kristen Williams (far left) of Alex won first place in the sophomore women category. All universities with music departments in the state of Oklahoma sent students to the competition held in Tulsa. Williams is a student in the studio of Dr. Robin Griffeath, assistant professor in the SWOSU Music Department. Kaylee Mayfield (far right) of Clinton and Avery Morrison (second from left) of Owasso from the studio of Dr. Kristin Griffeath, also assistant professor in the SWOSU Music Department, advanced to the finals. Other students competing were (from left) Ashton Jung, Cache; Hayley Hudson, Blackwell; and Shannon Sanders, Weatherford.
