AAUW Plans Fundraising Garage Sale this Saturday in Weatherford

The American Association of University Women (AAUW)/Weatherford branch recently elected officers for 2015-17. The group is preparing for its annual fund-raising garage sale this Saturday. The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is hosting a multi-family garage sale this Saturday, May 30, at 911 Sherwood Street in Weatherford to raise funds for SWOSU student scholarships.

The garage sale featuring a large selection and variety of clothes and items begins at 7:30 a.m. and will end at 1 p.m.  Everyone is invited. The AAUW is also seeking donated items, which can be dropped off at 911 Sherwood Street starting on Thursday, May 28.

Sales and donations support other annual branch activities, including Tech Trek math and science camp for 8th grade girls, breast cancer awareness and sending SWOSU students to the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCWSSL).

AAUW membership is open to all individuals who have completed a college/university degree (associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate).  Current college students are eligible for a free student e-affiliate membership.
