SWOSU Students Attending Camp Duke

As the fall semester draws near, Southwestern Oklahoma State University has 107 incoming freshmen on the Weatherford campus through Friday (July 24) of this week.

The new SWOSU students are attending the 3rd annual Camp Duke, an orientation camp designed to acclimate freshmen to the campus and introduce them to customs/traditions that will benefit them during their time at SWOSU.

The camp consists of breakout information sessions, games, contests, volleyball tournament, LipSync battle, dance featuring music by DJLiteBrite, and other fun activities. Also available at Camp Duke is the opportunity to gain information about various on-campus organizations for students, such as Greek Life, specialized academic opportunities and other clubs/groups.

The camp does have a fee and is not mandatory for incoming freshmen.
