The Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra will make its fifth appearance at Southwestern Oklahoma State University on Monday, September 14, on the Weatherford campus.

The 7:30 p.m. concert in the Fine Arts Center is part of the university’s Panorama series that is celebrating its 25th anniversary during the 2015-16 school year.

Tickets for the concert are $10 for the general public and $5 for all SWOSU students and individuals with a valid SWOSU I.D. All tickets at the door will be $20. The Oklahoma City Philharmonic was founded in 1988 and celebrates 27 years of beautiful music. Under the direction of Joel Levine, the orchestra performs Classics, Orchestral Pops and Discovery Family concerts as well as a variety of community engagements, including the concert at SWOSU.

Tracing its roots to Oklahoma City’s first professional orchestra in 1924, the OKC Philharmonic brings a rich tradition of music to Oklahoma. The musical extravaganza will include special guest artist Renee Anderson.

The OKC Philharmonic last performed at SWOSU during the 2000-01 school year.
