Guest Artist to Join OKC Philharmonic at SWOSU Concert

The Oklahoma City Philharmonic will perform in concert this Monday, September 14, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

The public is invited to the 7:30 p.m. concert in the Fine Arts Center on the Weatherford campus. The OKC Philharmonic, with Joel Levine as music director, will perform selections from Les Miserables, a Disney overture, a television medley of songs and more. The Philharmonic will be joined by guest artist Renee Anderson who will sing during several of the numbers.

Anderson is an Oklahoma City based singer/actress who grew up in Edmond.

She has toured and performed with companies such as Dallas Summer Musicals, St. Louis MUNY, Kansas City Starlight, Atlanta Theater of the Stars, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Lyric Theatre, OK CityRep, Pollard Theatre, Edmond Summerstock, Upstage Theatre, Carpenter Square and the OKC Theatre Company.

The concert is part of SWOSU’s Panorama series that is celebrating its 25th anniversary during the 2015-16 school year.

Tickets for the concert are $10 for the general public and $5 for all SWOSU students and individuals with a valid SWOSU I.D. All tickets at the door will be $20. Tickets are available online at and in the SWOSU Public Relations/Marketing Office in Room 205 of the Administration Building on the Weatherford campus or in the Business Office on the Sayre campus.
