Free Conference Planned in Western Oklahoma for Families with Special Needs Children

Sooner SuccessAn opportunity for families with special needs children to get help and for teachers to have free resources will be held this Tuesday, September 29, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

Sooner SUCCESS will host a free On the Road Mini Transition Conference from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center (900 N. Seventh Street) on the SWOSU campus.

The conference is open to families who have an individual with a disability in their family and providers who serve families/individuals with disabilities or special needs. The conference will assist families and providers in navigating the complex system of transition services.

A panel of speakers from agencies and organizations that provide state and local transition services will be in attendance. There will also be booths to gather more resources and information.

A light dinner will be served.
