West Central Tourney Coming to Pioneer Cellular Event Center

Southwestern Oklahoma State University will host the West Central Basketball Tournament (WCBT) on January 18-23 at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center and Rankin Williams Fieldhouse in Weatherford.

The WCBT is an annual high school basketball tourney featuring squads from western Oklahoma. The tournament field features boys and girls teams from Hydro-Eakly, Sentinel, Burns Flat-Dill City, Calumet, Corn Bible Academy, Thomas-Fay-Custer, Arapaho-Butler, and Canute.

Admission is $5 at the door for both students and adults.

It is a double elimination tournament that begins with the first round of play on Monday in Rankin Williams Fieldhouse. The Monday games are in Rankin because SWOSU’s men’s and women’s basketball teams are hosting Northwestern Oklahoma State University that night in the Pioneer Cellular Event Center. On Tuesday, the tournament moves to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center for the remainder of the tournament.

The tournament begins at 4:30 p.m. on Monday and will end on Saturday, January 23, with championship games, girls at 6:30 and boys at 7:50 p.m.
