SWOSU Foundation Launches SHINE Scholarship Fund

Amidst a tightening state budget and difficult economic circumstances, alumni and friends of Southwestern Oklahoma State University now have an immediate opportunity to help SWOSU students continue investing in their education.

The SWOSU Foundation has established the SHINE Scholarship Fund to provide immediate scholarship relief and assistance to SWOSU students. Garrett King, executive director of the SWOSU Foundation, said 100% of gifts to the SHINE Fund will go to increase the giving capacity of 205 existing scholarship funds and to establish new scholarship funds where needed.

“For nearly four decades the SWOSU Foundation has joined the generosity of Southwestern’s friends and alumni with the best aspirations of our students,” King said. “The SHINE Scholarships Fund will immediately direct all gifts to provide much-needed scholarship support and relief to SWOSU students. It is our sincere hope that this will help struggling families at this time of financial strain.”

King said gifts of any size are greatly appreciated and noted. To contribute to the SWOSU Foundation SHINE Scholarship Fund please visit www.GivetoSWOSU.com or call the SWOSU Foundation at 580-774-3267.
