Grace house Planning Events for SWOSU Students & Staff

Grace House Lutheran Campus Ministries, a student organization at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, is offering various new projects for students on and off the campus in Weatherford during the current 2016 spring semester.

Carol Waters, campus minister at Grace, said Dinner Church will be held the last Tuesday of every month, starting on January 26 and continuing through April. It is a unique worship service that includes cooking, eating and enjoying company while celebrating the Lord’s Supper, similar to the earliest Christians. It begins at 5 p.m. at Grace House (116. E. Proctor) and is an open invitation to any SWOSU student.

Starting February 2, Grace House will be open every Tuesday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for students to have a quiet, home-like atmosphere in which to study or hang out. Free coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks are available as well as free Wi-Fi.

Then starting on February 18, there will be an eight week book study offered by the Grace House starting from 12 noon - 1:00 p.m. in Stafford Center Room 201. The book, entitled The Gifts of Imperfection, by Brene Brown is a bestseller. The book is available online at Amazon.com or can be purchased elsewhere. Lunch will be provided during the noon study but donations are appreciated. Faculty, staff and students are all welcome to participate.
