SWOSU Sorority Plans Thursday Egg Hunt to Benefit Cancer Society

Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Zeta Phi sorority will host an Easter Egg hunt this Thursday, March 24, on the Weatherford campus with proceeds from the hunt benefiting the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event.

The hunt featuring over 1,500 prize eggs will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the SWOSU Clock Tower area.

This is the second year for Zeta Phi to host the hunt for multiple age groups: children not in school to 1st grade; 2nd grade to 5th grade; 6th grade to 8th grade; and High School to College students. Each egg contains candy or a ticket for a prize. A prize booth that includes toys, gift cards, SWOSU t-shirts and gifts from local shops will be stationed at the event.

Tickets to join in the hunt are $3 per person. Zeta Phi students ask individuals to show up at least 15 minutes prior to the start time in order to pay, hear the rules and be led to the area for the age specific hunt. Each participant will also need to bring their own bucket or sack to collect the eggs.
