Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Tuesday at SWOSU

It’s time to get popcorn ready, as SWOSU’s Residence Life Spring Movie Series continues with the presentation of the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens this Tuesday, March 29, on the Weatherford campus.

The movie will be shown at 8 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center and is free for all SWOSU students, staff and faculty. Residence Life will also have free popcorn available at the event.

Thirty years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, the galaxy faces a new threat in this movie from the evil Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order. When a defector named Finn crash-lands on a desert planet, he meets Rey (Daisy Ridley), a tough scavenger whose droid contains a top-secret map. Together, the young duo joins forces with Han Solo (Harrison Ford) to make sure the Resistance receives the intelligence concerning the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), the last of the Jedi Knights.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the final movie presentation of the 2016 Residence Life Spring Movie Series.
