Harlem Globetrotters Present Money Ball to Pioneer Cellular Event Center

Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the Pioneer Cellular Event Center have received a Harlem Globetrotter Red, White and Blue “Money Ball”   in recognition of the world famous basketball team breaking box office records during the team’s 2016 North American Tour, including a February 2 stop in Weatherford.

The Pioneer Cellular Event Center was one of 41 venues across the nation to receive the red, white and blue ball. Ticket sales at the SWOSU event were $45,544.

Pioneer Cellular Event Center Director Nate Downs said the ball will be on display in the lobby of the center.

The Harlem Globetrotters are celebrating their 90th anniversary, continuing a famous tradition of ball handling wizardry, basketball artistry and one-of-a-kind family entertainment that continues to thrill fans of all ages.
