SWOSU-Sayre Hosting Dawg Day on September 2

Fall classes have begun at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and the Sayre campus is hosting Dawg Day activities Friday, September 2, to welcome new and returning students.

The activities will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include games for prizes, like a grill, gift cards from local businesses and the University Bookstore, a Ninja Drink Master, Yeti Tumblers and an all-weather SWOSU jacket.

“We’re excited to have all of our students on campus, and we want to give them this chance to relax, have fun and socialize outside of class,” said event organizer Nancy Sanders.

Sanders said that Interbank will provide free hamburgers and hot dogs at lunch time, and each SWOSU-Sayre student can also pick up a free SWOSU book bag, SWOSU t-shirt, and SWOSU car shade.

Students can also sign up to win a free HP laptop.

“Vendors will also be on campus, and SWOSU’s spirit vehicle, Code Blue, will be on hand providing music,” Sanders said.

All Dawg Day activities will be held on the south end of the SWOSU-Sayre campus on the grassy area known as Buffalo Island.
