Dan Haerle Quartet Featured Saturday in Free Concert at SWOSU

The Dan Haerle Quartet will be featured in a free concert this Saturday, October 1, on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in Weatherford.

The SWOSU Department of Music is hosting the jazz group at 7:30 p.m. in the recital hall of the Ed & Winnie Berrong Music Building. A free masterclass will also be held immediately following the performance. The public is invited to both the concert and masterclass.

The Dan Haerle Quartet features notable composer, performer, educator and ambassador of jazz piano Dan Haerle.  A Regents Professor Emeritus of Jazz Studies at the University of North Texas, Haerle has written instructional material used by thousands of musicians worldwide. He is an inductee in the International Association of Jazz Education (IAJE) Hall of Fame.

Other members of the quartet are bassist Bob Bowman, drummer Todd Strait and saxophonist Brad Leali.
