SWOSU Plans Four Graduation Ceremonies May 4-6

Southwestern Oklahoma State University will hold commencement activities May 4-6 on the Weatherford and Sayre campuses.

Students who completed or will complete associate’s, bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees after the 2016 fall, 2017 spring, 2017 summer and 2017 fall semesters are eligible to participate in the ceremony.

Four separate ceremonies are planned:

  • Thursday, May 4, 7 p.m., Sayre campus ceremony—Sayre Public Schools Auditorium
  • Friday, May 5, 7 p.m., College of Pharmacy ceremony—Fine Arts Center
  • Saturday, May 6, 10 a.m., College of Arts & Sciences and College of Professional & Graduate Studies programs including Kinesiology, Parks & Recreation Department, Psychology, and Everett Dobson School of Business & Technology—Pioneer Cellular Event Center
  • Saturday, May 6, 2 p.m., College of Professional & Graduate Studies programs in Allied Health, Health Science, Nursing, Education and Master’s Degrees—Pioneer Cellular Event Center

Dr. James South, provost and vice president for academic affairs at SWOSU, said commencement will be held indoors on a permanent basis.
