Wildlife Conservation Director to Speak Wednesday at SWOSU

J.D. Strong, Weatherford native and director of the Oklahoma Division of Wildlife Conservation, will be featured at the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Department of Biological Sciences Joseph D. Maness Seminar Series on Wednesday, April 12.

Strong will speak at 4 p.m. in Old Science Building, Room 212. The free program is open to the public.

Strong will present "Wildlife Management in Oklahoma: Data Drive Policy.”

Until recently, Strong served as executive director for the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, ensuring protection of the state's water supplies. Strong also has had differing roles in the administrations of three governors, including environmental protection and wildlife conservation. 

Strong is a graduate of Weatherford High School.
