SWOSU’s Hendricks Wins Third Place at Oklahoma Research Day

Southwestern Oklahoma State University student Lindsey Hendricks (left) of Bessie recently won third place in the regional and community college category for her pesticide effects research at the recent Research Day held at the State Capitol in Oklahoma City. Congratulating Hendricks is Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) Chancellor Glen D. Johnson. Twenty-two undergraduate students representing 17 Oklahoma colleges and universities presented competitive research posters to the State Legislature and the public during this annual event sponsored by Oklahoma NSF EPSCoR, OSRHE and the National Science Foundation. The event is designed to raise awareness of the outstanding research that is taking place at Oklahoma’s colleges and universities. Hendricks’ faculty sponsor was SWOSU Biological Sciences Assistant Professor Dr. Rickey Cothran.
