SWOSU Jazz Kicking Off with Latin Dance Party

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) Jazz is kicking off its new school year with a Latin dance party on Thursday, September 20, on the Weatherford campus.

SWOSU Jazz, in collaboration with the Music Department and the offices of Student Affairs, is hosting the event as part of Hispanic Heritage Month activities in September.

The evening will feature Latin dance instruction from the International Dance Studio of Oklahoma City starting at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Student Center Ballroom followed by live music for dancing at 7 p.m. provided by Jazz Ensembles A, B and C under the direction of Dr. Richard Tirk and Wally Tarkington.
